SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF PUBLIC SAFETY
APRIL 28, 2005
A SPECIAL MEETING of the Board of Public Safety was held on Thursday, April 28, 2005, in the Council Chambers.
Those in attendance included Mayor Owen J. Quinn, Jr., members of the Board of Public Safety Richard L. Zaharek, Douglas J. Benedetto, Christopher H. Cook, Carolann Kennedy-Pucino, and Michael Colangelo, Police Chief Robert Milano, and Acting Deputy Police Chief Michael Maniago. Absent were Commissioner Thomas T. Telman, Jr., and Corporation Counsel Al Vasko.
Mayor Quinn called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.
Chief Milano informed the board that Matthew Faulkner was offered a conditional job offer from the Personnel Sub Committee after successful medical testing and an extensive background investigation. Chief Milano asked the board to accept his recommendation, as well as the recommendation from the Personnel Sub Committee, to hire Mr. Faulkner on probationary status for a May 13th seat at the academy.
Commissioner Pucino made a motion to hire Matthew Faulkner on probationary status for a May 13th seat at the academy, to begin at the pleasure of the city. Commissioner Benedetto seconded the motion. Unanimous.
On a motion by Commissioner Pucino, seconded by Commissioner Cook, the board voted unanimously to adjourn at 7:40 p.m.
